Florence’s Independent Campaign Builds Momentum, Lands Third Labor Endorsement

New York – Today, UA Plumbers Local 1, one of New York’s longest-tenured labor unions, endorsed Diana Florence’s Independent campaign for Manhattan District Attorney. The historic union, representing thousands of plumbers across the five boroughs, praised Florence’s experience and commitment to prosecuting crime over playing politics. As an Assistant District Attorney under Robert M. Morgenthau, Florence launched the Construction Fraud Task Force and led the fight against big companies that cheated New Yorkers and abused workers. UA Plumbers Local 1 joins Steamfitters Local 638 and Insulators Local 12 as Florence’s third labor endorsement, adding to the building momentum behind her campaign for DA. Florence is running for Manhattan DA as an Independent on the “Safer Manhattan” line in the November election.
